Dear Nintendo, If You Love Us, Send Fatal Frame

Dear Nintendo, If You Love Us, Send Fatal Frame

Dear Nintendo,

How are you? I’m doing fine. Sorry about that whole Rosalina thing . You know how fans get worked up sometimes. But I’m not writing to you about that. I know we’re good when it comes to that issue. This is about something else. This is about Fatal Frame .

It’s the elephant in the room, I know. You haven’t exactly done right by the series since it became all Nintendo-exclusive. I mean, localizing Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir instead of Fatal Frame: Mast of the Lunar Eclipse ? Big mistake. Big. Huge. But that’s done and can’t be undone. Unless you decide to do an HD remaster and bring it over, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Especially since the fan-made English patch is so easy to get. No, I’m talking about Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden .

Sound familiar? It should, since you and Koei Tecmo just announced it. Japan’s getting it on September 27, 2014 and honestly? I think those of us outside of Japan should be getting it too. Nay, those of us with Wii Us deserve it.

I mean, the game looks amazing. Players follow Yuuri Kozukata, who possess the classic Camera Obscura and an ability to save people who have been spirited away to the land of the dead. She can bring them back to the world of the living, and comes to Mount Hikamiyama. Supposedly, it will offer the largest environment for those who ain’t afraid of no ghost.

Even more important, Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden will offer the best use for the Wii U GamePad ever. It will become the Camera Obscura. Need to take pictures of the dead to solve puzzles, set a spirit free, or hopefully seal away a spook that’s attempting to steal Yuuri’s very soul? Pick up the GamePad, aim, and click! It’ll be that easy, and I think it should provide much better controls for catching those wily and quick spirits.

Dear Nintendo, If You Love Us, Send Fatal Frame

Not to mention, those of us with Wii Us need Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden . Look at the release schedule. Let’s be honest, it’s pretty barren when compared to the other consoles and handhelds on the market. The Vita is even getting more love. Give us a reason to be excited about the system. Provide people who don’t have it another excuse to grab one. Make people happy.

Don’t you want us to be happy?

Kisses!

Jenni

P.S. You know, just spitballing here, but a Wii U or 3DS Virtual Console port of Mother 3 would be ridiculously awesome too. K, thanks, bye!
