Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Huge Leaks!

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Huge Leaks!

Every day that passes is one day closer to the November 3rd launch of Activision and Sledgehammer Games’ monster sure-to-be hit Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare . Until that time, we, like you, have been itching to find out every bit of information regarding things like game length, map locations, and perhaps most importantly, what it’s going to be about! While the developers are still understandably tight-lipped about much of these details, there have been some recent leaks on several Call of Duty forums that supposedly divulge information that otherwise would be kept a secret for another week and a half. And while we prefer to only pass along surefire facts, we felt it couldn’t hurt to show you what we’ve seen with the proviso that these are just rumors at this point.

One of the first bits of information given in the forum is the length of the single player campaign. The user claims to have seen a tweet from an early player who claimed that the story can be played and completed in around five hours total, which while it may feel on the short side, actually is similar to most of the more recent Call of Duty titles. And also, it is worth noting that five hours is just the play-through time from start to finish—it doesn’t include details about campaigns played for the sake of achievements, or multiplayer statistics, the latter of which is (let’s be honest) often the main reason why players pick up CoD games in the first place. So take from that what you will.

Second, a full list of the (non-downloadable) multiplayer maps was posted on the forum, though it is less clear how this information was found, so again, treat this with whatever level of scrutiny you like. In any event, the list reads as follows:

-Ascend

-Bio Lab

-Comeback

-Defender

-Detroit

-Greenband

-Horizon

-Instinct

-Recovery

-Retreat

-Riot

-Solar

-Terrace

I don’t know about you, but they had me at “Detroit.”

Third and finally, a compilation of Hardcore Playlists were posted as well, illustrating the playable modes that should be available in the game right off the bat: Hardcore Team Death Match, Hardcore Kill Confirmed, Hardcore Domination, and Hardcore Search and Destroy. Many CoD fans will be familiar with most of these, but it is good to see that nothing will be left out at launch.

For more information, or just to peruse the CoD Forum at your leisure, feel free to go to www.codforum.com and click on the “ Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare ” link on the main page. This should bring you to all of the most recent info on the upcoming shooter, and might help you kill some time and get you through the next nine or ten sleepless nights until you can get your hands on an actual copy and fire away. No pun intended. Actually, pun intended. Enjoy!
