Conan Exiles is one of the hottest PC games right now, and it isn’t because Conan the Barbarian is experiencing a sudden resurgence in popularity. (Though, he is pretty cool.) No, it’s because the early access game has a rather distinctive character creator. When people are designing their male or female avatar, there are means of making themselves an ideal person. I’m not just talking about facial features, height, resplendent hair options, and a boob slider, though all of those things are there. I’m talking about virtual penis enhancement. Dudes in the game get both a breast and endowment slider. Does that make the game more appealing to you?
I mean, obviously, it’s the top seller on Steam for a reason. On February 1, 2017, it was number one on the list, beating out games like ARK: Survival Evolved, Resident Evil 7, For Honor, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Rocket League. This happened without any marketing. There was no long running hype in the gaming community about this Rust -style survival game. It all happened practically overnight, because people learned out you could change not only the size of melons, but hot dogs too. Clearly, a lot of people are picking up Conan Exiles for its character creation options.
I mean, Conan Exiles’ endowment could make people want to kick in $30 for the game for many reasons. Amusement is one. Remember all those games with absolutely bonkers breast physics? Like where a female character’s boobs will be moving and jiggling as though they have a life of their own, even if your avatar is standing still? Well, Funcom clearly took pointers from that school of thought. The wangs here are constantly waving in the wind, Whether they’re large or small, there’s action like you wouldn’t imagine. Which means you can enjoy all sorts of silly situations by having characters perform various actions and exercises, then watch the odd way their bodies move in response.
Another reason for the sale could be Conan Exiles’ equal representation. The character creator has multiple options for detailed male and female characters. There’s a decent array of skin tones to choose from, allowing you to create people of color. Your avatar can be a hero or heroine, with either one having the option to be a strong warrior. While the female breast slider can absolutely lend itself to fanservice, the male’s penis slider is doing the exact same thing. There’s an opportunity for extreme objectification on both sides, which players might appreciate.
It might even come down to Conan Exiles’ realism. While many of the videos going over how silly the game can be go with the most exaggerated proportions for both men and women, you can have more realistic and diverse body types too. Do you want a heroine with small breasts? You can actually create someone who looks like a rather accurate representation of an A-cup. Do you want your man to be average or even below average? That’s possible too. When going with the breast options for men, you can determine how large or small the pecs are, giving an illusion of being in shape or not.
There are certainly a number of reasons why people may, or even may not, want Conan Exiles . It’s a game that definitely has a few things going for it. For now, though, all the hype surrounds this character creation system. After people try it, it really seems to grow on them.
