CheatCC’s Spider-Man: Homecoming Gaming Wishlist

CheatCC’s Spider-Man: Homecoming Gaming Wishlist

Spider-Man is having a moment. He’s got a new movie coming out on July 7, 2017, Spider-Man: Homecoming , that is getting tons of good buzz. The Spider-Man PlayStation 4 game from Insomniac Games and Sony has a lot of people hyped up. Spidey’s doing rather well for himself. But, with this new movie out and the gaming up and coming, it leaves us wondering what we’d like to see in the new game. Especially since Insomniac could take inspiration from the latest movie.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming Suit

One thing we always see in every Spider-Man game is multiple suits. Well, the most important thing we want is an exact replica of the Spider-Man: Homecoming suit. It wouldn’t be difficult to do. It wouldn’t need any fancy, special effects that change the PlayStation 4 game in any way. It would just be a nod to what is going to be an incredible movie.

Cameos

One of the neatest things about Spider-Man Homecoming is all the cameos and nods to the fact that Spider-Man exists in a world with other heroes. Iron Man/Tony Stark appears in the movie. Seeing nods to other heroes would be great. Even better if they are as clever and subtle as the Captain America PSA we get to see in this movie!

An Intelligent Origin Story

Know what’s been great about the Spider-Man reboot and Spider-Man: Homecoming is how it respects our intelligence and the character. We have someone who does a good job of acting like a student and a believable fledgling hero. Now, in the Spider-Man 2018 game, we will have a hero who is more established. It would be great to see something just as believable and intelligent; something that shows a Spider-Man who has balanced his personal, school, and “professional” life.

A Realistic Aunt May

I know that Marisa Tomei wasn’t the “popular” choice among many fans. People said she was too young to be Aunt May. But in the Spider-Man reboot and Spider-Man: Homecoming , it only makes sense. Most people in high school and college don’t have parents, aunts, and uncles who are in their 70’s or 80’s, so why should Spider-Man? It would be nice to see the next Spider-Man game also pay attention to this detail.

Amazing Web-Slinging And City Views

One thing that the Spider-Man movies, like Spider-Man: Homecoming and some of the Activision games have done right is really capture the look and feel of Peter Parker soaring around New York City. It would be wonderful to know there is a system in place that combines the new parkour elements, wall-crawling, and web-slinging in such a way that everything feels real. We should feel like going around the city is gorgeous and freeing, and not complicated and taxing.
